US Youth Soccer State Championships are held in each of the 55 US Youth Soccer member state associations, some in the fall, but most throughout the spring. Champions in the Under 14 through Under 19 age divisions advance to represent their state association at their respective regional championships, where an invitation to the US Youth Soccer National Championships is on the line.

Advancement to President’s Cup Winners of the DIIStateCup tournament ages U13-U17 are eligible to participate in the President’s Cup tournament (no U18 division). This tournament is the equivalent to the Division I Regionals. Lots of fun and we encourage each winner of the DIIStateCup to participate. Please mark on your calendar the dates.

This annual tournament decides which teams are Division II state champions and will represent Alabama in the USYSA Regional III President’s Cup. Each State Association in Region III advances their DII Championship teams to the Regional Competition. The President’s Cup Regionals are for Boys and Girls, U13-U17. Teams winning the Region III President’s Cup will be eligible to attend the President’s Cup Nationals!
Governor's Cup
This annual tournament decides which teams are Division III state champions. To be eligible for ASA Governor’s Cup play, a team must be comprised of properly registered and rostered youth players and the team and its affiliated organization be good standing with ASA. The team must be registered as a Division III (Recreation) team or have the approval of the Tournament Committee.
In 2007, AYSA received an award for the Governors Cup tournament in Decatur for being the largest recreational tournament in the State of Alabama. The article was published in the Alabama Calendar of Events magazine for 2008. CLICK HERE
